Daio Paper invests into tissue production expansion in Japan

Daio Paper, Japan’s leading tissue manufacturer, invests into the tissue production development at its production site in Japan. According to the announcement, the company placed an order with Voith for a new state-of-the-art  XcelLine tissue machine.


With the new equipment the company plans to meet the growing demand for tissue papers in Japan. The new line will be producing around 54ktpa of high-quality facial tissues, bathroom tissues, and kitchen papers made from virgin fibers.

The scope of Voith’s supply includes the MasterJet Pro T headbox, CrescentFormer, the NipcoFlex T shoe press, steel Yankee dryer cylinder with deckle insulation, high-efficiency gas fire hood, MasterReel with automatic core shaft return, and full automation for machine operation control: MCS, DCS and QCS.
